A tap which fails to supply water when opened may well be airlocked. Removing the air lock To overcome this, attach a length of hosepipe to the affected tap and connect the other end to a working direct feed tap. In most cases this will be the cold tap on the kitchen sink. To ensure an even distribution of the hot water to the radiators in a system you'll need to do what's known as balancing the system.

Our oil fired boiler needed attention and APW Services were recommended to us.

Made an appointment and gave full details of the boiler. They sent an engineer out, who had never seen this boiler, even though it was 6 years old. The engineer had only been qualified for 9 months and he didn't know what he was doing, so he had to call his colleagues. Another guy came to assist him thankfully. By now had lost confidence that we were getting a good service for the boiler. They were going to return to do extra work, but when we called to get an appointment, the company was a bit sharp on the phone. We have had someone else to sort out the other problem, who actually knew what he
