Whatever the project our technical team can assist you with bespoke screed solutions for all build types. As with all screeds the performance and finish achieved can be affected by the conditions on site at the time of installation, and for a short period of time afterwards. High temperatures can be harmful for Screed Mortar.
Work should stop at air temperatures of greater than 30°C and can resume again at 30°C and falling. Ensure the installed screed is protected from Direct Sunlight / Draughts and poured into a watertight location with internal temperatures below 30 °C for at least the next 24hrs. Application of the screed in hot weather is optimal later pm to allow cooler conditions during critical phases of setting.
Gyvlon screeds are calcium sulphate based and therefore setting time will not be accelerated significantly in the manner affecting cementitious based materials, however very high temperatures may retard the setting. Note: Supply of screed mortar at greater than 30°C, will be at the discretion of the screed producer.

We at Gyvlon Screed are experts in free flowing, anhydrite (calcium sulphate) screeds and we are an Anhydritec company. Anhydrite's properties and performance give our screeds unique advantages compared to cement screeds. With over 25 years of experience in the formulation of self-levelling screeds, our research and development centre designs innovative products, which benefit a wide rang of applications.
Within the range of Gyvlon Screed products, ECO screed has provided quality for over 25 years. It is fully BBA Approved - ensuring quality and performance. As a free flowing and self compacting screed, Gyvlon Screed ECO is versatile for the majority of build types and is compatible with most acoustic and thermal insulations.
Anhydritec Ltd has developed Gyvlon ECO FD version to complement its Gyvlon range of screeds. Designed for jobsites with short lead times, ECO FD screed enables floor coverings to be applied at least twice as fast as Gyvlon ECO screed. In addition, Gyvlon ECO FD brings together all the proven benefits expected from a Gyvlon screed which also include low-skin option.
Within the Gyvlon Screed "Environmental screed solutions" range THERMIO+ Technology improves the performance of underfloor heating systems by creating a screed that is specifically designed to complement low temperature heating systems. THERMIO+ screed enables a much faster rise in temperature thanks to its high thermal diffusivity (up to +80% compare to a cement screed), providing quicker response to thermostat changes.
Part of the Gyvlon 'liquid flowing screed' range, FINIO technology has been developed to offer a very thin readymix screed solution with minimal thickness of 20mm (unbonded), 25mm a (resilient layer) or 30mmb (floating insulation). Thanks to the combination of low thickness and reduced weight, Gylvon FINIO is the ideal flowing screed solution for projects, particularly in renovation, where ceiling heights and/or low floor weights are key.
