Founded in 2010, Another Country is an award-winning British furniture company that designs and makes contemporary furniture and home accessories in the UK and Europe. Since our inception, we have endeavoured to design, source materials, manufacture and pack our products in as sustainably a way as possible, and we are on a continual journey to refine and improve how we do things.
We call this designing for the 'The Natural Home' (and Natural Workplace). Our aesthetic is inspired by archetype, calling on the familiar and unpretentious forms of British country vernacular style, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian and Japanese woodwork for inspiration. We re-interpret the spirit and functionality of these honest forms of furniture for a modern customer.

Founded in 2010, Another Country is a company that designs and makes contemporary wood furniture and home accessories. Our designs are inspired by archetype, calling on the familiar and unpretentious forms of British Country kitchen style, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian and Japanese woodwork for inspiration.
This first collection from Another Country was as clear and simple an interpretation of our original intention in furniture manufacturing as we could manage. We took familiar forms of craft furniture and pared them back to their most basic elements, using the most efficient workshop techniques and the best quality wood.
For our third series we sought to create the perfect marriage of traditional craft construction and contemporary form. We looked to the endlessly utilitarian and adaptable design of industrial workshop furniture for inspiration; a series with generous proportions, solid trestle-style base and undeniable multi-functionality is the outcome.
This range takes its name from the town on the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire where many products from Another Country have been conceived. The Semley Collection is the perfect series for compact spaces. Made of solid European oak with a contemporary grey trim, the design takes the essence of the Series One furniture adapting to suit smaller spaces such as restaurants and apartments.
