Services
With experience gleaned over the past three centuries The Traditional Window & Conservatory Company (TWCC) has continued in the tradition of making bespoke crafted timber windows and doors in the U.K. using the finest materials and methods. Class 'A' double glazing and draught proofing that exceeds the latest Building Regulations.
Using classic design and craftsmanship, the Traditional Window Company creates bespoke box sash windows to match the original design and retain the period character of your home. Each sash window is made to fit the original opening exactly to provide a timeless finish. For these reasons, our joinery is commissioned by architects, discerning homeowners and those involved with Conservation areas and Listed Buildings.
Our surveyors and craftsmen will work directly with you to help achieve the design and specifications you require. All combine to maximise thermal insulation, durability, safety and security, whilst maintaining the original period detail and character. Many traditional hinged casement windows, although flush fitting, have subtle profiles and period detail inside and out.
We can incorporate leads in new bespoke, replacement timber windows or door, either single glazed or in a double glazed sealed envelope to give extra thermal insulation, security etc. retaining the visual impact of the leaded lights. We are able to replicate many of the original designs using aged lead with soldered joins and an antique patina finish to give an authentic appearance.
