Our made to order plain and tonal rug collections are available in a range of shapes such as oblong, square, runner, circle and oval. All our rugs are handmade using a quality wool or viscose fibre which is spun and dyed to exacting standards. Different textures across the surface of the rug can be obtained by combining cut velvet pile with a coarser loop pile.

Our collection of modern rugs are available in a plethora of designs and colourways from simple geometrics to transitional abstracts. There is one big difference, our rugs are bespoke, custom made to measure and with most designs, you can fashion by adding your own splash of colour. It's amazing how unique you can make a modern pattern look by adding a new colour.

What's the difference? Putting Art Deco rugs to one side for the moment, Art Nouveau precedes the Art Deco period by around 30 years, Art Nouveau took an ornate, flowery appearance while Art Deco was more streamlined. Undoubtedly, influences from the Nouveau period spilt into Art Deco which can cause confusion as both are modernist interpretations of classic art and design.

When looking for something that's a little different with a tribal influence, that ain't "run of the mill", we stumbled upon Kuba Textiles. These textiles originate from the African Kuba people of the Congo Republic, formally Zaire, and the designs are made from patchwork embroidered onto a plain cloth.

The simple stripe has many qualities in the world of fashion and dcor, it's really one of the most ancient of designs, but we also visualise it as uber modern. Whether it's a rug or an item of clothing, it's weird how such a simple concept can offer such diversity in colour and design.
