I am a professional Garden Designer based in Dorset. I have a thorough and reliable approach to garden design and landscaping, specialising in planting and planting plans. I took part in the Chelsea Fringe last year, to raise awareness of the decline of the bees and butterflies in England. My fulfillment as a garden designer is derived from helping clients to discover the beauty, pleasure and added interest that a garden can bring to their lives.
As a landscaper I enjoy helping people to create somewhere beautiful to either grow their own vegetables, entertain, have fun or to meditate. Having a beautiful garden all the year round encourages one to go out there in all seasons. It is a never ending cycle of fascination and excitement. From every window of the house, one can find solace in what one sees.

Services
During the past twenty years I have been a garden designer, and have had the opportunity to create many gardens. I have developed fields into gardens, vicarage gardens, cottage gardens, Mediterranean gardens, courtyards, borders and small city spaces including a veranda on the fourth floor of a tower block.
I have developed a beautiful and simple garden. It faces South West and overlooks the sea. With prevailing south westerly winds and brackish air and heavy clay it is quite challenging. The garden heights range from 250 ft to 450 ft above sea level. To retain the feeling of harmony on this natural site, I have used local materials: green oak, willow, Purbeck stone and pebbles from Lyme Bay.
I come to the site and discuss your project. We view what is there, and we discuss a design brief, with what function and form you might like. We talk about the budget, and how much help you might have to maintain the garden. We also talk about problems - with neighbours, trees, wind, soil, deer or all of those.
