Alfred Robinson, the current Chairman's grandfather, started out in 1895 as a coal merchant in Manchester but faced with stiff competition and an increasingly saturated market, Alfred decided to use his assets - his wagons and horses - to move in a new direction: removals.

We've been moving families since 1895, so we know that physically shifting boxes is only half of the process. The key to a successful move is planning! We advise that you start planning early. Unless you're only moving a few bits, we normally suggest you arrange a free survey as soon as possible. You may not have a moving date yet, but we still recommend that you contact us.
When moving with Robinsons, you get a personal Move Manager. Professional, friendly and fully trained, your Move Manager knows what stage your move is at, at any given moment. Prior to your move date, your Move Manager will be in touch regularly and any problems will be resolved as quickly as possible.

Wish I could provide a similar 5 star review as the others but our experience of this company was the polar opposite! In fact if I was able to award no stars I would!
Our initial dealings with the company were good i.e. the move survey and quotation appeared professional and they were very competitive on their pricing. However, on the day of the move we found the staff disinterested and showing a total lack of respect for our possessions.
Having loaded our possessions with little to no care, stacking heavy items upon fragile items, on arrival at our new address they literally threw boxes from

Used Robinsons for a long distance move 11th September 2020 and can only say that they were excellent! The 2 chaps could not have been more helpful. Also prior to the move we had to phone the office on a number of occasions and they were always extremely helpful and accommodating, unfortunately I believe that the Manchester depot is no longer which is a real shame! However, would definately use them again
