Electricity can kill. Each year about 1000 accidents at work involving electric shock or burns are reported to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Around 30 of these are fatal. Most of these fatalities arise from contact with overhead or underground power cables. Even non-fatal shocks can cause severe and permanent injury.
Lidbetter and Hicks Ltd provides a full range of electrical services for commercial customers. We have worked on a wide range of commercial premises from Local authorities, golf clubs, hotels, schools and colleges. Commercial premises rely on a range of electrical systems - all of which we design, install and maintain from display lighting to security systems and alarms.
When the lights go out, emergency lighting will show you the way to go. It comes into play when the normal lighting fails. Emergency lighting should work automatically and provide sufficient illumination to allow people to find their way to emergency exits. It is critical the lighting is located in the right places and regularly inspected and maintained to ensure it works properly.
