Three years ago I contracted this "Specialist" roofing company, (registered at the time on both TrustATrader and Checkatrader) to replace my main and extension roof. Over the last three years I have had numerous leaks, causing damage to my kitchen ceiling, dining room table and extensive damage to the decoration in my dining room. SR Roofing, despite claiming to have a 24 emergency phone line, would on occasion take weeks to respond to messages/voice mails, and then citing they were too busy, a relative had died or an illness in the family etc.
Eventually they did arrive to assess the leaking roof and claimed the issues were caused by wood mice! They did offer to replace the faulty roof, but I had at that time, no confidence in their ability to do so.
I, in desperation, had three genuine roofing specialists and a pest controller inspect the two roofs and they all independently concluded that mice had no bearing on the cause of the leaks whatsoever. One specialist stated the level of workmanship was “absolutely appalling,” and confirmed that letting SR Roofing do any remedial work would be a grave mistake! The faults revealed from the professional inspections were as follows : -
1. No mandatory code 4 lead flashing fitted on any roof.
2. Broken and incorrectly fitted tiles.
3. Two Velux windows incorrectly installed.
4. Roof felt support trays not fitted on any roof.
5. Fascia’s badly fitted and nailed to tile battens
6. Holes in wall below fascia’s
7. Guttering not level, causing rainwater to pour down walls of house.
What amazing wood mice!!
In addition, my power tools were used without my permission. The 10 year guarantee stated would seem to be non-existent. It has cost me over £7000 so far to have the faults caused by these “Specialist Roofers” rectified. SR Roofing (Specialists!) seem very reluctant to communicate and have left me very seriously out of pocket, with no sign of any offer of a refund for the seriously substandard roof.
I would therefore implore anyone even considering letting this company loose on their property to seriously think again and hopefully not find themselves in the position I have found myself in. Trading Standards are aware of the situation and are now investigating.

The bully who threatened my sister to take her tenets lead of the chimney if she didn’t pay was disgusting she has illness and her own home was damaged with a tree in her roof . Then quoted over £600 then not told her bill was £1540 a disgrace . Bullying is not professional she paid £1000 straight away even tho it cost her £4000 to remove a tree . Never ever heard such threats yes it was heard .proof of shabby work
