Reading this website you might just get the idea that our history as a family business means a great deal to us. You'd be right! Ours is a fascinating story that begins with Alexander Fergusson, also known as the Miller O'Driep, in the 1790s. Back then, Alexander milled grain at the Mill O'Driep located at the north end of Loch Eck, just a few miles from Strachur.
Here at Archibald Fergusson Ltd our history is very important to us. It not only promotes a strong sense of identity but, over the generations, has given us a set of values which shape the way we work on a daily basis. From our base in Strachur, Argyll, we undertake building work all over Argyll and occasionally further afield.
Our range of services is designed to make us a self-contained one-stop shop when it comes to meeting your building requirements. That means that we can undertake minor works, joinery and one-off repairs or refurbishments, as well as design and build your home, office or other building to your specifications.

We have worked with Fergusson's on a series or renovation projects over the past two years and they are just excellent. They are knowledgeable, very experienced and have good judgement. The team is a pleasure to work with. They are highly skilled and professional and have contributed significantly to providing solutions to some of the problems that we discovered in our 1840s farmhouse. The quality of workmanship is as high as we've ever experienced. We have no hesitation in recommending Archd Fergusson.
