Born in Iran to a family of Persian carpet and art connoisseurs dating back nine generations to 1766, it was perhaps inevitable that Essie would become a top expert on Persian and Oriental rugs and carpets, gaining much of his great knowledge from his father Benayahoo Sakhai.
Almost 40 years ago, Essie established his own showrooms in London's Mayfair and has since compiled one of the world's most comprehensive and unique collections of fine handmade Persian rugs and Oriental carpets.

Much inspired by Persian rugs, Sir Paul Smith has marvellously integrated the art form into his fashion pieces. Essie Carpets hosted the official presentation of Paul Smith Fall collection in our larger Piccadilly Mayfair showroom, and continues to supply an array of fine Persian rugs and carpets to be draped on the runway of his fashion shows worldwide.
Where do you deliver to and how long does delivery take? We offer worldwide shipping. All orders are shipped with an express registered service; please allow between 1-2 days for UK delivery, 2-4 days for Europe and United States destinations, and 5-7 days for Far East, South America and Middle East destinations.

Would strongly dissuade anyone from selling anything to Essie's Carpets. Unfair pricing. Essie himself is incredibly rude, and I'm afraid to add deceptive. Offered in writing a certain price for my carpet and then when I came in person he refused to honour this (despite proof). You will be offered a very low price and met with made up "costs" from Essie.
