After leaving school in 1986, Peter Ferns took a 2 year YTS placement with a local builder. In 1988 Peter became self-employed and continued at college on day release for a further 3 years, achieving City & Guilds Advanced Craft Bricklaying (equivalent to NVQ3) and the following C.C.S.S.s: Properties & Functions of Materials, Surveying & Levelling, Measurements & Costs, Principles of Construction.
