Moving home is up there with death and divorce as one of life's most stressful experiences, and if you are planning a relocation in the near future, no doubt your head is already full of questions and concerns about the physical moving process. As a company that has carried out many hundreds of house removals over the years, we hope to be able to share some key house moving tips that will help to put your mind at ease a little.
When you move home, it is standard practice to pay your removal company in advance. I have moved several times in my life and have used professional removers almost every time with very mixed results. The last time was a total nightmare, so I was particularly nervous about moving this time. However, my experience with Johnson’s has been nothing but positive. From first contact, to the visit by Shaun Vallance to estimate, to having to change the requirement, to the actual move, I have been consistently impressed. The team that carried out the move (Pete, Sharon, Mike, Darren, Dan, Ben and Lewis) were all highly professional, considerate, caring and a pleasure to have around.

I chose Johnsons of Shaftesbury for my house move because I had read good reviews about them online and, I have to say, they have lived up to all of the excellent things that have been said.
As I write this they are in the middle of moving me over two days, with Day 1 being last Friday and Day 2 being tomorrow (Monday) and, I can honestly say, they are professional, reliable and offer good value for money.
Sharon packed my delicate items extremely well, and took great care in so doing, while Jason and Harry set about shifting all of the furniture and boxes and were friendly, polite and efficient

100% makes to Mark, Martin and Lewis, who have just moved us from Dorset to Frome. From the moment they arrived we knew we were in safe, professional hands. Their cheerful demeanour and wonderful work ethic took our breath away. They always had a can-do attitude and were positive even when we asked them to try and put a large sofa bed into the 2nd floor bedroom.
While moving is always a nightmare, Mark and his team minimised the horror of it all with good humour and grace and cannot speak highly enough of their stupendous service.
The support from the office was also excellent.

We had a positive experience with Johnson's. Booking our move was easy and trouble free. The team arrived on time to move us thirty miles. Loading the vans went smoothly and quickly and everyone was polite, helpful and efficient. At both houses sheeting was laid to protect the carpets. Unpacking was marginally less efficient as some boxes ended up in the wrong rooms, although clearly labelled, hence four stars. Overall we would recommend Johnson's removals.

I booked Johnson's to move my Elderly Mother's belongings from a first floor flat to a ground floor flat in the same building. Her feedback was very positive. Initially booking two people for four hours, three people arrived ahead of time and started work immediately. They were polite, hard working and packed things that we had said we would do after the move of the larger furniture, meaning that everything had been transferred by the time they left.
