Matthew De-Machen, Managing Director of Matthew James Global Relocations, is not your average removals man. In fact he's not your average managing director either. From a very young age he has been fascinated by vehicles and entered the moving industry as a teenager to provide an outlet for his interest.
A part/shared load service is a cost effective way to move your goods to and from your destination. The reason this service is so cost effective is that you share the vehicle with other consignments and therefore the vehicle costs are also shared. All consignments are individually prepared, numbered, labelled and inventoried to ensure all items are correctly delivered to you.
The Groupage service is a cost-effective way to move your goods overseas. Costs are contained by sharing the container with other clients' consignments (grouping them together) and sharing the costs. All consignments are individually platinum wrapped, numbered, labelled and inventoried to make sure they can't get mixed up and arrive safely.
Beckenham is an attractive suburb and the edge of south London, having excellent links in to central London with it's choice of 3 train stations. It has a vibrant shopping centre with many independent shops, bars and restaurants. It has a good choice of domestic properties, from large detached and semi-detached Victorian and Edwardian houses to detached Twenties and Thirties houses on large garden estates, to modern blocks of flats.
The Borough of Bexley is in touching distance of central London while feeling surburban with over 100 parks and open spaces. It is one of the most affordable places to live in greater London and with excellent train links into central London and with 4 grammar schools it is also very attractive to families with young children.

I will not be recommending this company to anyone. They held my furniture to ransom, when ABC removal, whom they were working on behalf, failed to settle their account for 8 months. I was only informed on third delivery date what was happening. They told me that the van wasn't full and cancelled two previous dates. Matthew James made no attempt to deliver to my home in Portugal, as they said, they didn't know it wasn't easy access, so they took my furniture to Malaga, Spain. I had to get another removal company to collect my furniture. There was many damaged/missing items to a value of £900. Your

We had a terrible experience with this company - we paid over £8000 for two moves one within the UK and one to France. The UK move was a nightmare - things were broken, fridge dinted in a number of places; basically to finish the job our stuff was thrown into our garage include our bed so we had to sleep on the floor. They even used our dryer (a brand new Miele) as storage for wallpaper and metal rods. We took pictures and after the so-called investigation we were told (a) that we must have made up the pictures; (b) their would be no compensation and (c) we should be happy with the great job they

Matthew James shipped our belongings from UK to Portugal and once the (brexit induced) paperwork was all sorted the company and staff were excellent. We were kept informed of progress, Katie and the crew (Lee and Christian) were friendly, helpful and took care while delivering. Would definitely reccomend them.

Matthew James responded very quickly to our enquiry and from their expert in person survey of our needs to the execution of the move they were impressive. Access at our new home is awkward and they had checked that out before visiting us for the survey. The lads on the vehicles were efficient, careful with our stuff and a pleasure to have around. I would unequivocally recommend them for a larger move.

We used Matthew James to move our offices in July 2021. Both our old office and our new office were on the 2nd floor with no lift. We were very pleased with the service we received from Matthew James. They were very careful with everything. Nothing was damaged and the staff were all helpful and polite. They provided packing materials beforehand and also bubble-wrapped all our computers and other fragile items for us on the morning of the move. They made a stressful day much easier!

From first dealings with the company they were responsive and professional. They collected my furniture and boxes from mid France, repacking some items into their boxes and took them to my family for storage in Hereford.
Nothing was too much trouble and Adrien and his partner were superb, going the extra mile at the destination when their large van could not fit down the lane. I was very pleased with the service I received.

From start to finish excellent service! They definitely went the extra mile to deliver a top quality service. We moved from Paris to London and paid for a platinum service that included packing and unwrapping of furniture at destination, honestly the best investment we have made. Everything was wrapped and packed with special care, each and every single item arrived without any damage, which I did not expect from a Paris to London move including a 2-week long storage. We used Matthew James to transport my home from a Big Yellow Storage, in London, UK, to my new apartment in Madrid, Spain.
They were consummate professionals, collecting, tagging and packing everything up in London and then delivering it 3 weeks later to our home in Madrid.
All the time we were talking to Matthew James on the phone and there was great communication, always letting us know what was going on, where our belongings were all the way up until the moment of delivery.
Everything arrived in one piece, in great condition, as expected.
