Services
As a former joiner I began installing windows and doors, going on to start the business in 1986. We've always been an Ilkeston based company and I'm very proud of what we've achieved in our 30+ years of trading. Over the years many competitors have come and gone - some returning under different names.
In 2014 I decided to apply for membership of the Derbyshire trusted trader scheme. Any trader is audited by Derbyshire trading standards in addition to other business vetting procedures. The members of the scheme are required to give a postage-paid reply card, to everyone they work for. The customer then fills out the card, with a short review of what they thought of the trader.
They're the largest consumer association in the UK, and highly respected for serving the public by thoroughly testing products and services. They also highlight inferior products or services, provide education on consumer rights and offer independent advice. Achieving their endorsement wasn't an easy process but then, if it was, many other home improvement companies would get approval and it would be meaningless.
We have been members of the Consumer Protection Association (CPA) since 2002. Relevant checks are made as to our credentials, in terms of standards of workmanship, products used and finances. Our insurance backed guarantees are supplied through the CPA, protecting your guarantee that we issue. So if we were to go out of business during the guarantee period, you would still be covered.

Had Uniglaze come and fit me a new composite front door and french doors at the back at the end of April. All I can say is that I was exceptionally happy with the outcome. I was worried it would be a tough job for them because of the type of build my house is but they still did the job do a very very high standard. Arrived in the moring near enough bang on when I was told but I was told an approx time so that was fine with me. The two lads that came to fit were polite and respected my property and made sure they cleaned up after themselves. They even cleaned the glass on the french doors and made sure everything was left clean and tidy. I will say just make sure youve got coffee, sugar and milk and they will be fine haha.
I was very happy with the price which I thought was fair and very competitive to what I had recieved elsewhere.
John the owner was also exceptional in coming round to measure and get me a quote. Everything was gone about with the upmost professionalism. Also a shoutout to the receptionist when I was to ring up. Very polite, friendly and always willing to help with any query I had.
I will definetly be going back to these in the future for when I do a kitchen window I want replacing and anything else after that.

Brilliant! I wouldn't go anywhere else now. John and his team are great. 100% fair prices and great quality too. We've had a composite front door, PVC back door, a big set of french doors and a kitchen window. The team of fitters are lovley, efficient and extremely clean. We will be using again aswell and the rest of the family.

Used Uniglaze for a new composite front door. Got a competitive quote and the door was installed slightly before the given date. The two fitters arrived on time and removed my old upvc door and expertly installed the new door. They cleaned up afterwards and was impressed with the service. Would highly recommend Uniglaze.

Recently had a new front door and 2no. replacement windows fitted by John and the team and couldn't be happier, Very satisfied with the service received, John was great from initial quote and talked us through our options and was very helpful answering any questions we had.
Tom & Zak showed up exactly on time and we're very professional on-site, work area was left in good clean condition and the end result is amazing. We instantly saw a great improvement in both heat retention and noise reduction and the quality is great.
Will definitely recommend and use again.
