The scheme involved the supply and install of circa 12,000m of custom made carpets and laser cut lino finishes which has made The Ned the place to stay in London. The supply and installation of lino, vinyl and carpet finishes to the new rehabilitation centre for ex-service men and women returning from duty.

The climate in 1982 was that of uncertainty and many businesses were consolidating and making cut backs in order to survive. Making business work back then meant you had to get things right from the outset and this approach formed the backbone of our initial success and has become a cornerstone of our business.
We are always looking to attract people who give there best, who work with pride and have a passion for delivering results. Fully qualified, with at least 3 years experience in fitting vinyl, linoleum, rubber and stuck down carpet. All site based staff must have passed the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Health and Safety test, and hold a CSCS card at the relevant level.
We have a positive proactive culture in regards to Health and Safety which is cascaded down from Director level to our relevant Managers and subsequently onto our directly employed floor layers that ensures projects are handed over, not only in a timely competent fashion, but in tandem ensuring that the welfare of our operatives and others are never compromised within the workplace.
John Abbott Flooring Contractors is a family owned company that has been trading since 1982 and we specialise only in the supply and fit of soft flooring. We are not part of any multi national group and are not a subsidiary and we pride ourselves on our well established pedigree which has involved us undertaking many prestigious projects - ranging from values of 1000 up to 2.8M.
Some of these operatives who joined in 1982 are still important members of the existing fitting teams. With experience, the company has grown organically and adopted new fitting techniques and products which have formed an integral part of the innovative approach to the successful installation of soft flooring.

Cowboys. Road Rage idiots got out of car and tried to start a fight with a school bus driver infront of me. Little kiddies onboard. We all had to sit and watch because they parked van across a roundabout.
Would not trust these guys in my house or my business!
They clearly could not give a toss about their own reputation if they behave like this in a liveried vehicle in full public.
