I rang around a few companies but found Alexenders to offer the most competitive offer so chose them to undertake my move.
I wasn’t disappointed. They are very friendly and really worked with me through a difficult move with ever changing dates. In fact they were extremely understandable and really helped in a stressful situation.

Critical: Responsiveness
Arranged a home visit for a quote. Impressed they came on a bank holiday. Friendly and informative, I was told we would receive the quote within a day or two. Despite lots of phone calls ( talking to a never ending answerphone) we are still waiting 10 days on!!!!

Continuing the theme, visit organised for moving quote. No show, no call. I’m only getting answer machine. Surely someone should be in the office to answer calls. Dreadful way to run a company and an appalling way to treat potential customers. No way would I trust them with my belongings.

We used Alexander’s removals March 2021 and can thoroughly recommend them. They came recommended to us and I can only say great things about my whole experience with them. We had our items in storage with them, at first they where very helpful. Then they moved our furniture out of one storage unit to a completly different building.hence without our permission, and against the law..included in our items was a very expensive italian leather sofa. There was nothing wrong with it when it was first put into the first unit, untill it was removed and placed in a different building. Our beautiful sofa has got what looks like dye transferal from there blankets they coverd the sofa with. I sent many emails and voicemails.when they did get back to us we got called a liar and

Alexanders came highly recommended from a friend. As per previous reviews, I had some initial trouble contacting this company, but once I did, the service was absolutely outstanding. They offered a range of very competitive quotes, one option offering 30 days free storage (should there be any problems with the sale). As it turned out, at the last minute, we had to use this option. I don't know how we would have managed without this. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this company.

We used Alexanders in February 2017. This was following a personal visit to discuss the job by Alexander himself who was extremely helpful. The team on the day could not be have more helpful or professional. They bought two small vans rather that one large one because of weights restrictions on our drive way - this was at no extra cost. I would certainly recommend them and have done to a friend who rang me to thank me for doing so as they went above and beyond for her.

We have used Alexanders 3 times and I cannot fault their service at all, they were excellent. What really struck me was their professionalism when we moved my mother in law over here from Norfolk. She suffers from dementia, and come removal day (2 yrs ago now), she was having a bad day. The guys, who were all pretty young (how judgemental of me!) were fantastic with her. They treated her with the utmost respect, were kind and courteous to her, even when she was screeching down the street. Workmen to be proud of I'd say.

Had a removal quotation booked for this morning and nobody has turned up.. Not even had a call to say anyone is running late or to apologise. It is also impossible to get through to the office, we have phoned several times. Nor have you responded to our voicemails. Not impressed at all!!!

After being let down by another removal company because our moving date was Good Friday, Alexanders came to the rescue and what a great choice, couldn't fault the service, nothing was too much trouble. Once everything was in our new house they checked if we wanted anything moving and that we were happy with where everything was (never had that before, normally other companies just dump it in the rooms and leave as quick as they can). Nice touch with a bottle of wine and new home card, hope you enjoyed the Easter eggs?
