Dear Nick & Emma, A HUGE thank you for the flooring you put down in our new home and throughout the holiday cottages. I know it was a mammoth task to tackle the old barn walls to get the straight lines over such an expansive area, but the finish is absolutely seamless. I think a lot of fitters would have found themselves out of their depth on this job.

NH Flooring is a family run firm based in the Yorkshire Dales, set up by Managing Director and Yorkshire man, Nick Hodges. Nick has been in the flooring industry all his working life after snapping up an opportune side step on completion of his studies in architecture. He has a wealth of knowledge in flooring and the floor laying industry and is a FITA trained NICF approved contractor.
After many years of using different flooring products, we have selected a range of flooring materials which, in our opinion, are of the highest quality and offer the best value for money. Choosing a new floor covering can take a lot of time and thought. So with this in mind you can make use of our experience and knowledge to help narrow down your search.
We have a comprehensive range of solid wood and engineered products on display in our showroom. Engineered wood flooring is constructed from a thick veneer of hardwood (a popular choice being oak) which is adhered to a wood block base. It is ideal for high use areas and is also compatible with underfloor heating.
There are various different carpet options out there and it can be quite baffling which one is best for your room and lifestyle. Below is a brief overview of what we think is best and for where. Of course, we are always on hand to offer any advice you need too. One of my favourite products, great for areas of high traffic such as hallways, stairs, lounges and snugs.
Natural fibre floor coverings are made from plant fibre such as sisal and coir. They come available in some fantastic weaves and colours giving a stunning visual finish to your floor. They can add real depth to a room, whether it be a contemporary or traditional finish you are looking for they become a real focal point.
