Garden Design By Matt George
AS The principal of the business, Matt is passionate about horticulture, art, design and creating great living spaces outside. Originally with a degree in biology/botany BSc. Hons - Bristol University, Matt worked successfully in a retail operations career as a senior manager, building and running large warehouses for some of the UK's top retailers, but was always keen to get back to design and using his green fingers!

Matt gained a huge amount of experience by doing an intense 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in garden design with the reputable Garden Design School in 2013 and has recently completed the Construction Certificate Course at the London College of Garden Design. He has designed many gardens across the Home Counties and has project managed a number of garden builds with significant planting.
Services
We would be delighted to show you our portfolio which includes designs and planting schemes for the following styles of gardens:. A number of driveway/front gardens where planting and car parking have been combined to great effect.
Good design - whether hard landscaping or planting only works with the right materials, used and put together in a cohesive way. Plants are of course critical and we work with a number of top trade nurseries to source plants, trees and hedges that will thrive and look stunning in your garden and can be provided at discounted prices from typical garden centre retail prices.
The owners of a hotel in a conservation area in Bedfordshire needed to build a new community space for the hotel residents and day guests on the site of a derelict pub next door to their buildings. We were commissioned to design and project manage the build, that included complex heritage building designs for garden walls and renovation of an old Norman wall within the garden.
This client in Chorleywood was at the end of a large house renovation when we were called in to help with the landscape design. An old swimming pool area, plus a tricky front garden and small area at the side of the house were modernised with two large water features being incorporated into the scheme.
The garden design for a large Victorian House in Berkhamsted involved the planning and building of a new drive, oak framed garage structure and side garden to the house to provide a low maintenance garden with visual appeal. The design work drew inspiration from the new oak framed garage and the detailing on the chimney breast of the house.
