Martin served his full apprenticeship for Ian Williams and Co. Ltd of Bristol, during which time he won the Paintability National Painting & Decorating Award and numerous prizes for Outstanding work. Martin then left the company to sub-contract to various decorating companies, this gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of the trade.

Other finishes include the replication of wood, marble, stone block work and also antiquing/distressed finishes that can be applied to walls, furniture, ornate plaster, fire surrounds and columns.
