E A Foulds Limited install, modernise, service and repair passenger and goods lifts and Pendec was initially set up to supply them with Cutler Hammer motor control gear. During the 1980s, Pendec expanded by building up its own customer base. To support this growth in business, Pendec increased its product range to include factory control and automation products from quality names such as Merlin Gerin, Omron, Salzer UK and Socomec.
