Services
The current business started life in 1929 when 'grandfather' Geoffrey Probert Thomas lent his name to a small building concern. The first years were largely devoted to working on the local large farm estates mainly maintaining and repairing existing buildings but with a little agricultural contracting as well.
Size matters in building. Too big, and you risk diluting the personal service which matters so much to making projects work; too small and you become too reliant on contractor support. At the heart of GP Thomas are a head office team spearheaded by directors proud to be the latest custodians of the family name.
Variety is the spice of life so we are always pleased to work on a diverse range of projects. Our work spans commercial premises to domestic new build, renovations and extensions. We have been extending our interest in select residential new build projects in recent years and now have a specific Developments side to the business; we're always keen to learn of prime development sites.
We have an active building development side to the business building homes either directly for ourselves or for our sister company G.P.T Properties. We ensure these homes are built to our award winning standards which our customers will enjoy for years to come. We have been operating in Herefordshire for 90 years, it is very important to us that our new homes carry forward the family name enhance our reputation in the area.
