Licia Di Pasquale, the owner at Bauen Design has over 20 years of experience working within the designer kitchen market. Achieving her honours degree in Interior Design and winning the National Interior Design award led her into kitchen design. Initially working for CP Hart in Glasgow's city centre, where she soon realised this was the industry for her.
This is where we get to know you and learn about your needs, how you currently use your kitchen, what works and what doesn't. We would be delighted to meet in your own home or here in the design studio. A detailed brief is taken to establish your individual requirements for the space in terms of function, aesthetics and budget.
Our clients liked the idea of an island however didn't think it would be possible within the existing space. They were keen to maintain the level of storage with the addition of integrated recycling bins. Also wishing to have better access to windows. All in all, our clients ultimately wanted the wow factor for their new Poggenpohl kitchen.
My clients had lived with their existing kitchen for about ten years and felt it was now time to make the change to their dream kitchen. One of their priorities was to improve on the work surface area as their existing kitchen had one area at a lowered height, not functional at all. Being tall, both clients were keen to have their new ovens at eye level height.
Our clients' priority for their new kitchen was that it had to function, not just look good. The kitchen was part of the living space and the flow of the two areas had to work well. Attention to detail was key for every aspect of the design. This was a renovation project for our client, the detail which they had put into the renovation for the property had to be extended to the finish of the kitchen.

A wonderful experience working with Licia and her team at Bauen Design! We involved Bauen Design in the early stages of our new kitchen design and build and were so pleased with their creativity we retained their services and expanded the work proposed to include our main living and dining space. The project management, professionalism and quality of work throughout were second to none, from everyone involved. Delighted with Licia and her team. Totally professional, helpful and knowledgeable. We first approached Bauen preCovid on a spec basis. Licia was welcoming from the moment we walked in. She was happy to go at our pace, never pushy and listened to the brief. We started out thinking we wanted a minor change which Licia was happy to do but we decided to go for something more radical. We approached several kitchen companies initially to see what we could get for our budget and requirements. Licia and the team at Bauen Design really listened to our brief and came up with a kitchen that not only aesthetically looks amazing but increases the day to day functionality and cupboard space.

Licia and her staff were wonderful when we re-designed our kitchen and went above and beyond, getting to know us and designing the exact space we wanted. We have such a beautiful kitchen, thanks to Licia and her team, and she even came to the house on multiple occasions to check all was going to plan. Licia helped us realise our ideas for a new kitchen that would meet our requirements exactly. Her suggestions helped us organise a relatively small space such that everything is to hand and functions as we hoped. The quality of the cabinets, fixtures, and fittings is excellent and Licia steered us towards the right appliances for our needs. The installation was completed on schedule by an excellent team of experienced tradespeople. Overall, an excellent experience.

Licia designed our kitchen earlier this year. She came to visit our home and spent a great deal of time and effort designing it. She was always happy to answer questions or make changes. The fitting went well and ran to time. Any little snags were fixed promptly. Overall we would highly recommend Licia to anyone planning a new kitchen.

Licia has a great eye for detail and takes into account your every need when it comes to the planning and design of your kitchen. She had a walk around our whole house to get an idea of what we like, the feel of the house, the style and detail in the house to make sure the kitchen was in keeping with the rest.
