The Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design (AAD) is one of the latest additions to the University of Lincoln's Brayford campus. Stem were commissioned to design a space to complement and extend the vision provided by Rick Mather in his original school of Architecture (2002-2003). The new AAD School has consolidated all of its courses from various buildings into a new facility to maximise the faculty's teaching opportunities.
The building successfully balances form and scale and follows existing building lines to provide cutting edge architecture. Internal spaces provide a neutral backdrop in which the Arts students can create their own working environment. The scheme provides a vibrant and highly suitable addition to the existing building design by Rick Mathers and carefully marries the materials to create a dynamic transition between two landmark buildings.

BIM or Building Information Modelling/Management is a core part of our practice. We have the capabilities to help clients meet the Government's requirement for all public-sector projects to achieve Level 2 BIM. The BIM process allows us to create an intelligent digital 3D model of a buidling. Initially clients benefit through early visualisation and costing information.
If a property development is to be sold, rented or financed against upon completion, a form of comfort that is recognised by the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) will need to be in place on the property. This can come in the form of a Building Warranty or in the form of a Professional Consultants Certificate (PCC).
