Richard Delane founded the Wood Works bespoke furniture operation in 1990 with the help of his wife Donna and their newborn son Josh strapped to Donna's back. The scene was set in 1942 when Richard's grandfather Morris Delane came to London's East End from Poland to learn cabinet making. He spent years perfecting his craft in numerous furniture workshops lining the streets of Hackney and Hoxton.
Bespoke kitchens from The Wood Works are custom-made to be an exact reflection of your lifestyle and personal tastes, whilst giving you maximum functionality and use of space. We delight in being truly bespoke and cater to a vast variety of budgets, styles and requirements. We have premises in Hertfordshire and London but have successfully served many of our happy clients all across the UK.

In order to receive your quotation and design drawings you will need to schedule an appointment to visit our showroom. During the initial design consultation, we go through your requirements for the kitchen including appliances, materials, styles, finishes etc (this first part can be done via email or over the phone).
Typically a small kitchen would consist of one or two shorter runs of units, possibly an L-shaped kitchen, in a space around 3m x 3m. For a modern style, the cabinetwork element of a kitchen of this size would cost about 9,000 +vat. For a more traditional look, it would probably be closer to 12,000 +vat.
