Services
Cost planning is a high level cost estimate based around an approximate floor area and is generally carried out prior to any design works having been undertaken. A good cost plan is built up from historic out-turn data from completed projects but can also be based upon tender costs. It is essential that the cost plan is benchmarked against similar buildings wherever possible.
Our aim is to procure each package in a way that helps manage costs more efficiently, reduce risk and ultimately win more profitable work. We will carry out an analytical estimate using market enquiries and traditional build-up of rates to produce accurate bids, providing clear visibility of net cost, preliminaries, risks and potential value engineering opportunities.
Programme is critical to both clients and contractors. If it is the programme for the overall development cycle of the on-site and construction activities, a clear timeline with linked activities is essential. With over 25 years' combined programming experience, we do not simply cascade outputs through a calculator.
Our team are vastly experienced in the writing and compilation of quality submissions which are an important part of both tenders and pre-qualification documents for tenders. Our team's experience goes back to the advent of price/quality tenders, over 20 years ago. We have been refining this skill ever since.
The project was at the heart of the hospital site comprising a new 2 storey Intensive Care Unit, the structure is also connected to another project to form a new entrance and retail outlets and shared a party wall, with the works for both schemes running concurrently. The 26,000sq ft new building was located at a critical junction on the hospital site road and immediately outside the main entrance to the hospital.
