PAT Testing is one of the most effective ways of minimizing electrical risks from faulty appliances to you, your staff and any visitors to your premises. Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 - to take all measures to minimize electrical hazards by inspecting and testing all types of electrical equipment across all work environments.
Fixed wire testing or electrical installation condition report relates to an assessment of the in service condition of an electrical installation against the requirements of BS7671:2018 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) at the time of the inspection, irrespective of the age of the installation.
All commercial and industrial buildings must be fitted with an Emergency Lighting System to ensure safe evacuation in the case of an emergency. It is vital that these systems are properly maintained; not only because it is a statutory requirement and most insurance companies require it, but because the safety of you and staff may depend on it!
For a lightning protection system to function as designed in the event of a lightning strike, it is essential that the lightning conductor system is maintained and kept in good order. It is important that all lightning protection systems should be tested by a specialist at least every 12 months but we always recommend testing is carried out every 11 months.
