Disappointing for a local run company. After deciding to avoid the big companies I waited 6 weeks only for my order to arrive wrong. I then waited another 3 weeks for the curtain I'd originally ordered to be remade. Thank you to the curtain fitter who came out in an evening to fit the new one but I wasn't so impressed with the way the production manager dealt with me.

Fabulous. My 25 year old beloved Multiyork sofas were too good to dispose of so I decided to have them reupholstered. Material Things were brilliant. They offer good value for money and an exceptional customer service. My sofas look like new. I ordered some arm covers for added protection but they weren't included in the delivery. This was not a problem for the crew, within an hour I received a phone call and somebody took the effort of delivering them to me personally. Thank you.

We recently received our reupholstered chair and are delighted with the result. This is the fifth item we have purchased from Material Things and we wouldn't go anywhere else now. Fantastic team of craftspeople, superb service and advice. Products far superior than those we have purchased from household names elsewhere.

Cannot praise this Company enough! We have had sofas reupholstered by Material Things in the past so when we were looking for new furniture it was one place, amongst others, that we visited. Stewart helped us find something that gave good support for my husband’s back....no pressure selling just relaxed good, professional advice. Soon after the sofas were delivered we had an issue with one of them. Stewart immediately took over, contacted the company involved which resulted in a completely new settee as it was acknowledged that this was a manufacturing fault. Amazing company we found from advert in local free magazine. Brilliant customer service, helpful advice, delivery when said and very impressed with quality of work and installation. We had 4 dining chairs re-upholstered good advice on fabric & really good finished products
We had 3 sets of curtains complete with new track and poles high quality making and fitting. We even had 5 cushions made to match the curtains and were again impressed with their quality. Andrew was so helpful on his visit to complete the order and Simon did a very professional job with all of the fitting. Can't fault Material

Had my sofa seat restuffed (not sure if that is the right term) by Material Things. Beforehand my other half and I sank into it, but now it is absolutely wonderful! Lovely staff, very welcoming and professional. The sofa seat was ready in the time-frame estimated and customer service was top notch.
I think I may convince the significant other to let me get the other seats done in due course... Also the shop looks like it has some lovely furniture items so well worth a browse!
