I work mostly within a 10 mile radius of home, working in Northwest Fylde, from Lytham St Anne's, Warton, Poulton, Kirkham, Thornton, Freckleton, etc. I am a self-employed joiner tradesman & builder. Been building extensions & loft conversions since leaving school. Started as apprentice joiner in a family business at the start, now with over 40yrs experience in the trade.

Have built kitchen extensions, dormer roof loft conversions, orangery & conservatory extensions, basically i have done most types of home improvements. My prices are competitive, not the cheapest prices, but am able to discuss a good friendly deal. We take the worry out of what you would think a major task with carefull planning.

Sort out architect at the very start, if required, planning applications to the councils, electrician & plumber when required. Keep the place clean, clear away all the rubble & rubbish properly, been told I am a very tidy builder.
Services
I completed my time as a joiner in 1977, did most of my apprenticeship with my father, a perfectionist at his job. I entered into the family business in 1982 and became a Self employed builder in 1993 and I'm now running my own local building business in Lytham St Anne's. I have lived around here all my life, the name is well established and has a good sound reputation.
Dormer roof & loft conversions with bespoke staircases, extensions to include orangery, dinning/kitchens, bedrooms & bathrooms, etc. I don't contract people in to do work that i can do. I have plumber, electrician, felt roofer, scaffolder all which would be working for you the customer, who would be paid by you.
Here you'll see some of the bespoke stairs i have made & fitted, usually made to get into the new loft rooms i have created. I try to match them up, fitting them over the existing stairs, obviously to save space. Sometimes i make them on site or in my workshop. I love the joinery side of my work, maybe you will see something you like or get some ideas.
Extension i did in Lytham, foundations were piled, bad ground, the extension tapered to the back on the party wall boundary. Well.looks like a bombs gone off! A lot of support here, holding up the upstairs bedroom extension, which you can see in the first pictures, the steel was heavy gauge stuff too.
Well Hello again! This was an interesting project i did a few years ago now. We converted what looked like a garage on the banks of Lake Windermere, i suppose it was, for a boat though. It was concrete block built with a timber truss type roof, with double doors at the front. There was a jetty inside down one side which ran out into the lake about 30M or so.

I have used David Chamberlain three or four times in the past for various jobs. I have found him to be very good at his job, not expensive and totally trustworthy.
