Following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in London, a Ministerial Working Group on Building and Fire Safety was established to review Scotland's building and fire safety regulatory frameworks. This legislation will ensure that everyone in Scotland has the same level of protection whether they own or rent their home.
Not only will you be putting yourself or whoever you live with in danger but also your neighbours. Your home will no longer meet legal requirements, complying with relevant building standards and fire safety standards. Furthermore, you may not be able to sell your house either if the updated Building and Fire Safety regulations have not been met.
Although the Scottish Government have not provided any support or grants, we will be more than happy to offer ALL elderly homeowners 15% off. We can also offer to install a wireless test switch on the wall, linked to the alarms so that it will be easier for you to control them. For every successfully alarm installation, we will donate 10 to Scotland's national charity supporting people over the age of 50.
