Bill Whyte started the business in a small shop on Towngate in 1987 and in 2006 moved premises to Kings Court Industrial Estate, off King Street where it is now situated. Bill and family are now all residing in Australia and the business was bought by ourselves in 2014.

Was subject to mansplaining here when I went in to enquire about carpeting my sitting room and master bedroom. I was told categorically by someone who had never been in my house, and obviously assumed that as a woman I couldn't use a tape measure, that the rooms couldn't possibly be as large as I said. Went elsewhere and bought a lot of carpet from a business with a polite owner.

Used this company many times in the past. However after this experience never again. Fitting arranged so half day booked off work and he never turned up!! Rearranged & another half day booked for fitting & again he never turned up!! Problem is fitter is self employed & had other commitments on new builds that took priority over my fitting! No problem when I said I had had enough & asked for refund. Communication was poor on both these occasions - I had to phone them to see why fitter hadn't turned up
