Over the last 31 years we have had extensive experience in supplying a full range of domestic pest control services. We have dealt with a very wide variety of domestic pests, from the usual pet flea infestations to the slightly unusual tropical ant infestations. Below is a list of pests that we are routinely asked to deal with, but there are many pests not listed.
Ant problems can be dealt with using gel baits or spray treatments, or a combination of both. Treatment often gives respite until the ants move outside to forage. Ants have a habit of placing the colony under the foundations of a house, or in the building fabric. This makes permanent control very difficult.
Bed bugs are without doubt one of the most unpleasant insect to infest our homes. They mostly infest bedrooms and beds. Bed bugs tend to hide within the structure of the bed and emerge to bite and feed at night. We appreciate you may have lots of questions relating to this problem, so feel free to ask.
For honey bee swarms you should contact a local bee keeper. A Honey bee colony swarms in April, May and June and are easily identified by their sheer numbers, often in the thousands. More often than not a swarm moves several times over a few days, as the queen searches for a suitable home, such as a hole in a large tree.
There are approximately 370,000 species of known beetle worldwide and approximately 4,000 species reside in Britain. But only 30 or so of these are classed as pest species within general pest control. Most commercial (beetle) pests are referred to as stored product insects. Huge numbers can infest bakeries and dry goods stores.
