When we approach a project we look at what the client wants to achieve, and what the client is passionate about, and then we use light to bring this all out and make it a feature. We don't just see light as a part of a project, but rather a integral piece that enables all the other parts of the project to work.
MS Lighting Design can provide a wide variety of services, so sometimes the best thing to do is give us a call or send an email and tell us what you need help with. We can tailor our design process to your project. There are a number of "standard" services that we provide for the majority of projects.
Lighting is so important to a kitchen. Whether it is having enough light to be able to prepare food for the family, to not being blinded by light when you come to get a drink while watching a film, lighting is key. Bathrooms have become so much more than just a washing area. It is where we go through our daily rituals of preparation, as well as a relaxing retreat from the world.
The client was planning a renovation of the ground floor and garden, with a brief to produce a lighting scheme which would complement his incorporation of both traditional elements and raw architecture, such as exposed brick. Taking this, we aimed to conceal as many of the light fittings as possible, using plaster in fittings or incorporating them into the joinery.

A hand drawn plan, allowing your builder/electrician to install the lighting correctly by showing light positions, circuits and switches.

Really glad Marcus Steffen advised us on a full lighting scheme for a 4-bed flat refurb in central London. Marcus not only is technically very savvy about the amount and type of lighting in each area, he also knows the top brands in the market and is able to mix and match fittings across brands to create the best scheme. We hired Marcus at MS Lighting to design the lighting for the full refurbishment of a 4000 sq ft house in South West London. He put a detailed and clear design package together ahead of our building tender, worked effectively with our main contractors, and supplied all the built in lighting. He also helped with the set up of a Rako lighting control system. The end result is exceptional, balancing functionality and aesthetics well, and has significantly added to the quality of the finish. The lighting supplied was very clearly labelled, circuit by circuit, which saved time for the electricians.
