This is a comprehensive year-round service, where all the components of gardening are brought together in the right measures and at the right time. We use our knowledge and expertise to create a complete maintenance programme that is tailored to your own garden. Seasonal changes dictate which jobs are more important at each particular time of year.
A well maintained lawn is an asset to any garden, setting a lush green scene for your plants, trees and home. It is impossible to overestimate the importance of the lawn in the visual effect of most gardens, but very few lawns reach close to their potential. At Gardens & Grounds, lawn care is a particular passion and we have tremendous knowledge and expertise on this subject.
It's fair to say that at Gardens & Grounds, we love plants. It's the passion that brought us to this occupation and gives us the drive to continually improve the gardens in which we work. We pride ourselves in the breadth and detail of knowledge that we have of garden plants and their care, and we would like the opportunity to apply our expertise within your garden.
Richard Woodburn, of Kendal, gave up a promising academic career to become a full time gardener. Some people dream about running that little Lakeland hotel, while for others the escape fantasy is that idyllic second-hand bookshop, full of witty conversation and all those J R Hartley moments. But for the green-fingered the daydream of choice invariably involves becoming a full-time gardener, and then spending every day doing what comes naturally.
