Services
Silk Interiors was established by Nicky Silk to provide curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings to decorate your home. I've been sewing professionally since 2007 for a large number of customers, many of whom come back time after time when decorating new rooms. Curtains and blinds are most common, but increasingly I find that people also want cushions, light shades and even notice boards all to match.
We will come and measure your window at no cost and give you a free estimate. As we have found the process of choosing fabric to be a very personal one, we will leave you to find fabric of your own choice. Once you have this, we will provide you with the finished product as soon as possible. Silk Interiors can also provide any lining you should require, be that blackout, thermal or interlined.
Silk Interiors can make Roman Blinds to exactly fit your requirements, be that inside the window recess or outside the window. This is a personal preference and sometimes can depend on the amount of space you have around the window frame. We will come and take the measurements and let you know how much material is required.
We love to make lightshades and feel that they really set a room off. We can make lightshades in numerous shapes - drum, square, oval, coolie or candle. They can come in various sizes too, although we find a 30cm drum is standard. Just choose a fabric for your room and a size and we can supply that great finishing touch.
We are able to undertake simple re-upholstery jobs for you. Whether it be a patch required on a sofa, caused by a scratching pet, or a new cover for your tired looking but much loved footstool, please contact us and we should be able to help. If we feel that we cannot assist, we are able to suggest what could be done.
