Services
George Ekins established a building company in the early years of the 19th century and the company constructed many fine buildings in Hertfordshire and the Home Counties including churches, schools, commercial buildings and country houses. Ekins Builders Ltd. acquired the business on the retirement of Fred Norman and continue the tradition.
As the longest standing member of the team, Phil has worked with Ekins for many years, starting as a contracts manger and has a extensive knowledge of the industry which allows the more tricky projects be completed successfully. Phil will work closely with architects and clients which means that all are kept up to date with the progress and site developments.
Whatever type, size or style of project you are considering we have the expertise and experience to bring your ideas from concept to reality. If you have already engaged a design team and have a fully realised project that is being issued for tender or if you want to come to us directly we have the complete office and site set up to cost, plan and construct your project.
Whatever size and scope of project, from new builds to alterations and extensions we have considerable experience of working on residential properties. Either working direct with the clients or through the client's architects and design team we will turn what is on paper into a building that will meet and we hope exceed the expectations of all.
Over recent years we have carried out many different forms of commercial projects, from new build light industrial units to the alterations of large listed offices and the conversion of farm buildings into commercial spaces. A good example of this ability to carry out quality work in the commercial sector was at Essendonbury Farm, which achieved recognition and an award for The Best Commercial Project in the East of England from the RICS.
