The Elford name was established in the building trade by Rex Elford, who along with a fellow colleague created Elford and Richford Ltd. in 1969 - a successful building company which later evolved to become Elford & Sons Ltd. in 1989 - now managed by Rex's younger son Julian, with oldest son Christopher as one of the company's skilled carpenter/joiners.
