Sandover Associates is an Architect, Planning and Urban Design company committed to high quality sustainable buildings and places. The Architecture Practice has bases in Devon and Cornwall. We combine the benefits of a focused personal service with the resources and experience of larger design companies.

Established by Peter Sandover in 1999, Sandover Associates draws on Peter's local and international experience designing and managing award winning landmark buildings and places spanning over 30 years and over 10 countries worldwide. Recognising the environmental impacts of the construction industry and our lifestyles we put sustainable design at the heart of our work.

Peter Sandover's regeneration and enabling work has developed a nationally recognised model for effective community and stakeholder engagement. To boost the practice's resources we have formed an association with CAG Consultants (Cooperative Advisory Group) to promote community engagement and sustainability work.

Architecture Report

We have designed a broad range of building types and scales from small domestic projects through to multi use commercial complexes. Projects include new build and renovation from individual homes to large residential developments. Commercial developments include offices, catering, storage, mixed use and aviation projects.

Design Guidance Report

Sandover Associates are well versed in current design and planning policy. At a district level we have assisted many local authorities develop parts of their Local Plans. At a local level we have assisted in the production of Neighbourhood Plans, Parish Plans and design guidance.

Community Engagement Report

Early and pro-active engagement of all stakeholders is key to a successful project, Sandover Associates are well versed in a range of techniques depending on the group to be engaged, these include Enquiry by Design, Planning for Real, and World Cafe.

Sustainability Report

Sandover Associates believe that all our actions should be more sustainable. We should also lead by example; helping others to think about their impacts. We must aim for efficiency wherever possible - using less is one of the greatest steps towards sustainability. We should source locally, reducing transport energy and supporting local economies.
