Crown reduction is the procedure used to reduce the height and spread of the crown of a tree and crown thinning. Pollarding is an ancient pruning system where a tree is pruned back to its skeletal framework at a predetermined height. As climbing tree surgeons and big tree specialists, most of our work is dismantling trees in a domestic setting but we also.
Crown lifting is the removal of the lower branches from the crown of a tree. This can be a very effective way of letting more light and a feeling of space in to a smaller garden that contains mature trees by allowing the sunlight to flood in underneath the canopy. We always keep an element of flexibility in our diary in order to accommodate any emergency calls we might receive for tree work that has to be dealt with immediately. Sustained winds and an increased frequency of storms seem to be bringing down more trees than ever so we're always on hand to deal with any windblown trees and branches.

Received a quote from James to cut down some neighbouring trees which were blocking light into the garden, plus to tidy up an oak tree. The quote was very reasonable. The work was professionally carried out and all areas cleaned up after them. Can't thank them enough for the excellent job. I now have a good view from my garden again after so many years. Really pleased with the work James and his colleague did on a a 50 foot eucalypts tree in the back garden. Spoke to him on Thursday, came over and gave me the quote on Saturday and the tree was down by the following Wednesday! Excellent job both taking the tree down and cleaning up afterwards, the garden has never looked so clean! Great guys as well. Highly recommend.
