I am an RHS award winning garden designer and registered member of the Society of Garden Designers covering an area of 20 miles radius from my office in Monmouth including Monmouthshire, parts of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean. Helping my clients to discover their own perfect garden and to see how much it can offer our native wildlife is my passion.
We each have our own tastes and lifestyles and by respecting the natural beauty of the garden, its existing wildlife habitats and the surrounding environment, each and every one of our gardens has the potential to be uniquely beautiful and provide a home to some of our rapidly declining native species.
I've been designing gardens of all shapes and sizes for thirty years (so I've had a lot of practice!) and have the knowledge and experience to help you design your garden with confidence and flair. Working together we can create a garden in harmony with your home, its environment and landscape, to reflect your lifestyle and tastes.

Services
I like to offer a flexible service tailored to suit the individuality of my clients and their budgets. We almost always begin by meeting on site to talk about your priorities and the opportunities the garden holds. This may be a one off consultation or be the first meeting of many as we take the design and implementation of the garden forward to completion and beyond.
The natural processes of seasonal change, leaf fall and decay, spring and renewal are the constant beating heart of any garden and its inhabitants which depend on these processes. From the microscopic soil organisms we don't see, to the insects, birds, mammals and amphibians we do, they all form essential parts of its web of life, but will only thrive if the conditions are right.

It will be kept securely and not given to any third party unless you ask me to pass it on for the purposes of our business together, e.g. to a landscaper or supplier.

Cheryl worked with me on my garden remotely, during pandemia virus. I'm very happy with the results although I'm still waiting to source some plants and also for the ones I have already planted to grow. Garden already looks amazing. I'm sure year by year will be even better. For some reason google did not upload better pictures.

Cheryl came highly recommended by a friend to help design part of our mature garden after a barn had been built to replace an old shed and some very old and diseased shrubs and trees had been removed. As a keen gardener I thought I knew what I wanted and was a bit surprised when Cheryl started by looking at our address on Google Earth but this demonstrates how she starts with the overall shape of the garden and an understanding of the surrounding landscape. Cheryl visited the garden twice. On the first we talked about how we use the garden, what we like, don’t like and how we want to maintain

My husband and I are really pretty clueless where the garden is concerned. We have a large garden and had little idea what we wanted to do with it.
Cheryl is brilliant, really patient and full of ideas. She started by asking us about how we use the garden and what we wanted to use it for in the future. She then showed us lots of photos of types of,plants to get some idea of style and type of plants we like. She took a great deal of time finding out what we like and didn't like.
From there she took soil samples and mapped the whole garden. She came up with a range of ideas, all of which we loved
