Worst (and most expensive) mistake we made was hiring James Stroud (James the Gardener) to completely revamp our garden. He was uncommunicative; sub contracted the patio work and failed to tell us. Unreliable; he was rarely on the premises, leaving his worker alone, sometimes not knowing what to do. Full of excuses: for days and half days not worked, his workers, over ordering of materials. Incompetent; the groundwork was never cleared correctly, he flipped the old lawn and did not dig out the dandelions and, as a consequence we have dandelions coming through the new turf.
