All the components in your system are connected to each other via the power supply forming a type of network. For this reason all should be connected over just one distribution box. Power distributors with metal housing, switches, filters and shielding are generally not recommended. Metal in the proximity of the current flow always influences the current dynamic: reciprocal induction effects can make the current slower-acting.
