Heading the workforce at HRJ Gould Ltd is Henry Gould Senior. Having spent all his life within the timber trade, Henry has passed on his expertise to his three sons Jeffrey, Henry James and Richard. All four work on site on a daily basis with their teams. The majority of our employees have been with the firm from the start.
At HRJ Gould, we offer many varied and unique services which only a few organisations throughout the UK can. The reason for this are the skills we have developed and the machinery we own, positioning us as one of the best aboricultural companies. Matching these credentials with the fact that we are centrally located, being based in the Midlands, we are in the enviable position to be able to undertake any contract throughout the country.
We specialise in the cultivation and management of trees and many other woody plants. We have a vast knowledge of how these plants grow and respond to their environment and as such we are able to offer the best practice in carrying out such works as; Planting, Pruning, Shaping, Felling and Disease control.
We use our specialist machinery to successfully manage forests and woodlands. Our aim is always to be environmently sound when harvesting or maintaining woodland, ensuring multiple-use management practices are used, meaning that we not only fell the timber in order to be sold on for uses such as furniture supply and wood fuel, but we also maintain and create bio diverse areas for wildlife protection.
Landscape maintenance covers an array of services that we provide. We offer provisions in hedge cutting, grass cutting, pesticide spraying and even fencing contracts. We have worked alongside some prestigious companies, including Trentham Estates, delivering the highest quality of work. All our staff are trained and are competent in aspects of landscape maintenance, all of which are NPTC qualified (see list of qualifications).
