We are Chartered Surveyors authorized and regulated by The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and members of the Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association (ISVA). Our surveyor is Mark Elliott, a Chartered Surveyor for over 30 years, who personally undertakes all of the surveys and valuations.
Very good experience having Mark do a building survey. Excellent comms via email arranging the survey, responses were always quick. I requested quotes from eight surveyors in the area and Mark's rate for a building survey was very competitive. As Mark was booked up it was about a month before he could do the survey.
If you need a mortgage to buy your house then a lender will need you to pay for a mortgage valuation report. However, this is not a survey and should not be mistaken as such. A mortgage valuation report is just that - a valuation of the property for the mortgage lender to confirm that the property is worth the amount that you want to borrow.
If you have a Help To Buy Mortgage and wish to sell or redeem it then you will need to obtain a valuation that meets certain criteria. Elliott Consultants can provide a valuation in the correct format acceptable to HCA Target. You will need to instruct an independent surveyor and pay for their services.

The evening after the survey Mark gave me a call to discuss what he had seen and the one notable issue he found, which was something I hadn’t considered. It was then nine days (including a weekend) before I received the report, which was a bit longer than I had expected.
