It is vitally important that a purchaser considering a property acquisition is equipped with the full knowledge of its condition, defects and costs of repairs. We have a high standard of expertise in carrying out surveys of all types of property from private house purchases to surveys of commercial and industrial properties on behalf of large institutional investors.
From our visual inspections, we endeavour to identify major problems and defects as well as maintenance problems. The aim of our survey is to identify if there are any defects and problems which will require repairs or replacement of elements. This will allow the purchaser to evaluate information provided in our reports that may affect their decision in the purchase of the property.
Very often a prospective purchaser will base the investment decision on the feasibility, or otherwise, of refurbishment or conversion of the property to alternative use. In conjunction with the building survey, we can prepare preliminary scheme design drawings with estimated project costs to determine the practical feasibility and economic viability of the investment.
