Founded in 1996 NE Joinery is a proudly privately owned company, dedicated to the manufacture of windows, doors and stair cases and specialist bespoke joinery pieces for both private clients and trade.
For over two decades we have also worked on a range of prestigious unique projects including many of the Cambridge University buildings, and from architectural renovations and ecclesiastical screens to clock towers and cutting edge new builds. Services
Here at NE Joinery we offer a wide variety of windows including traditional box sash windows working on weights and cords, more modern versions working on spiral balancers, traditional casement windows, storm proof windows and Norfolk sliders. Handmade wooden windows are so much more environmental friendly compared to UPVC equivalents and still provide you with all the modern day benefits.
These can be supplied either with the sashes hung on the traditional weights and cord mechanism or the modern spiral balance mechanism. These windows can also incorporate the modern double glazing (to British standards) or the traditional single glazing, they can also be fully draft striped and can encapsulate the finest detail down to the glazing bars and horns.
We manufacture either traditional casement windows when the sash is inset in the frame or the modern storm-proof when the sash is rebated over the fame. We can manufacture these from softwoods or hardwoods, with glazing of your choice whether it be single- or double-glazed units, we also offer a wide range of hinges, fittings and locking systems.
Horizontal sliding windows can be manufactured from hardwood or softwood and can be made to run on traditional timber bead or on a modern roller mechanism. As with all our other windows we can manufacture to accommodate double glazing or single glazing, with defined glazing bars to look like existing or more chunky glazing bars to look modern.

Appalling service! I placed an order on 23.2.21 and was given an 8-10 lead time. After 11 weeks, I enquired about the status of my order and, after five attempts to request an update, eventually received an email stating that they were unable to fulfill the order. Communication generally is appalling, with emails and phone calls being left unanswered.
