Robert has overall responsibility for our Company and is the 4th generation of the Hutchinson family to run the firm. Robert is IOSH qualified in Managing Safely, SMSTS, and leads the team with a hands-on approach to the day-to-day running of the business, heading-up team and Senior Management meetings and reviewing performance across the business.
It was over 100 years ago this year when our great grandfather, Charles Hutchinson, started a small local building business, marking the beginning of a knowledge base and a family firm that was to pass from generation to generation. This tradition is proudly carried on today by our Director - Robert Hutchinson, who's eldest son, Mathew, is part of the management team following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather before him.
At Hutchinsons we understand that the requirements of local government projects often differ slightly from those of the general public. We are also aware that high quality workmanship at an affordable price from an experienced team of builders is essential, and that is why we are proud of our history in providing this level of service for over a 100 years.
