Having worked for the larger Main Contractors for many years, Peter and I decided we wanted to put our vast construction experience into our own business that we could manage our way. Darcy was set up in 1999 and I have not looked back since. I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my family in my spare time.
Having worked in the industry for more years than I care to admit, it was a great feeling to be in charge of my own destiny and work in a business environment of my own making. Darcy feels like home as we are all one big family. Our construction and commercial team work exceptionally well and at Darcy, it never feels like work - especially when you are enjoying yourself so much!
I take pleasure in external pursuits such as off road cycling, I enjoy having a swim a couple of times a week and keeping fit for my hiking holidays. I look after new business opportunities for Darcy and thoroughly enjoy seeing a project progress from initial conversations to a finished building! Outside of work my time is spend entertaining the mini Purdie's and half heartedly attempting to keep fit!
