FDH offers the services of architects and building surveyors and has close working relationships with landscape architects, quantity surveyors and structural and services engineers. He was elected as a corporate member of the RIBA in 1993. Recent experience includes acting as Architect/Design Team Leader on the remodelling of the Assembly Rooms in St Briavels, and the design Big Lottery funded new community centre in Yorkley, Forest Of Dean.

Roland worked as a Building Control Officer at the Forest of Dean District Council for five years and as a freelance Building Surveyor before joining FDH. From 1988-91 Roland was the "Technical Aid Officer" for Gloucestershire, providing free feasibility advice to community organisations through the Gloucestershire Technical Aid Service (GTAS). In 2001 he gained a BSc in Building Surveying at the University of Glamorgan. Roland has extensive experience of maintenance and repair of old buildings.

Critical: Responsiveness
I called weekly for about 2 months, sent an email, left two voice messages and left a message for one colleague to pass onto another when i did get through to get booked in an still heard nothing. I am now booked in with an alternative architect who answered first time.
