Absolutely awful place. The owner and his wife are unprofessional and the way I would describe them is as "second hand light fitting sales". The guy is rude, slimy and has no customer care whats so ever. I cannot believe that they are still there. We had a credit note and he refused to honour it. Their light fittings overall look like they are from a back of a lorry. I would seriously think twice before going to this place. They are rip off merchants and should be reported. I am now looking to going to get further advice on what has happened to us. Please keep away from this awful place.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE "NO HASSLE RETURNS POLICY"!! The website does not make it clear that this only applies to goods bought online and NOT to goods purchased from the shop. I have been left with lighting costing £300, unused and still in the box, which I cannot use and which Sherwood Lighting will not take back. BEWARE!! I will never shop here again and I would advise everyone else to do likewise.

Only gave one star to give review. Be very careful with this Co. On 20 June 2019 I ordered 3 lamp shades. £108 taken from Visa account. As I heard nothing further, I phoned about 4 days later. Was advised shades I had ordered " discontinued"!! Asked why I was not told this at time of purchase / why money taken from Visa account?. Employee couldn't say& never apologised. Sent two emails chasing up. Still never received apology. Eventually, on 25 July, Visa account ( AT LONG LAST) credited with £108!! Meantime, I has received Visa bill so have to pay £108 to them in 2 weeks time. You couldn't

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Do yourself a favour and shop somewhere else. I bought an external light from them, waited 4 weeks with me always chasing them, never any correspondence from them. Some story to fob me off everytime I phoned. Eventually cancelled the order and bought it from at a lower cost and it was delivered within 4… days. I was then fobbed off several times when trying to get a refund and had to threaten to come into the shop personally with my card to get a refund before they finally processed it. Utterly rubbish company. Worth -5 stars.

Today I have tried to find some spot light bulbs with no avail, went to Sherwood Lighting (mansfield Road) great shop with proper customer service, the lovely lady even phoned the valve shop to see if they could help me with the replacement bulbs and they were in stock, so a big thank you for your kindness and help.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SHOP!!!
The goods were cheap and nowhere near the £200 + we paid for them and so we returned them, followed all of their ridiculous returns policy rules which contradict the Consumer Rights Act, but we did it anyway. We signed and recorded delivery the returns which were exactly as they were received in original… packaging. We are in the third week that they have had our money and the lights. We have still not even spoken to the returns department, all of our calls (atleast 1 a day for at least the last 10 days) have been ignored and fobbed off, emails

I too have had an AWFUL experience with Sherwood. Do not purchase from this company. I paid £401.24 for two pendant lights in November. They arrived damaged and terrible quality. What was sold as a"brass effect" ceiling pendant was in fact reinforced cardboard spray painted and costing £401.24 for two!!!. When I sent Sherwood photos of the damaged… torn cardboard they advised me to return the lights which I did using their preferred carrier service UPS. I received confirmation from UPS that these returns were received by Sherwood Lighting on the 20th Nov. I've been chasing them

IF YOU NEED TO RETURN YOUR LIGHTS THEY CHARGE YOU 20% OF THE PURCHASE PRICE. We got three lights and paid cash 7days ago but the lights hang too low in our lounge. We paid £364.71 and they wanted £72.94 for a refund so they could send the lights back. We had not fitted the lights and only opened one of the three boxes. THEY DO NOT EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU WHEN YOU BUY THEM IN STORE.

If this would have had ZERO stars... oh gosh, this was the worst experience I have ever had in my life! do not use sheerwood lighting. I have purchased a lamp, they`ve taken my money and never got back to me, never heard from them even though I have emailed on multiple occasions - money taken off my bank account and never received the lamp either.
